Catching Up with City Semester Alums
You’ve heard all about their time with the City Semester Pittsburgh program, now catch up with some of our alums and find out what they’ve been up to since they completed the program and how City Semester has impacted their future so far.
Demi was a City Semester student in 2018 and is currently a Maternal and Child Health epidemiologist at the Maryland Department of Health, Maternal and Child Health Bureau. She graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health with a MHS in 2020.
Luke Babik participated in the City Semester program in 2021 and is now working as a federal affairs intern at the Trust for Public Land.
Emily Kiver participated in the City Semester Pittsburgh program in summer 2020 and is now an analyst with Avascent, a government-sector consulting firm.
Sierra participated in the City Semester Pittsburgh program in summer 2020 and is currently an intern at Sandia National Laboratories.
Lauren is currently a community planner at the Union County Office of Planning and Economic Development in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Her work covers various topics including transportation, land use, sustainability, and long-range planning.
Charlotte participated in City Semester during the summer of 2021 and is currently a landscape architectural designer at Bernardon, a multidisciplinary firm in Philadelphia, PA.
Riley is a City Semester alum and is now a graduate student and graduate research assistant at University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS).
Anthony was one of two students in our very first City Semester cohort in fall 2017 and currently serves as community liaison, Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services at the Executive Office of Mayor Muriel Bowser.
