National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (5-week course)

The National Green Infrastructure Certification Program (NGICP) is open to green infrastructure professionals who want to expand their knowledge. 

This certificate program covers the design, installation, inspection, and maintenance of green storm water infrastructure relating to the Pennsylvania Best Management Practices (PA BMP) manual. This program will be held on Wednesdays and Thursdays from October 7 to October 29, 2020, and includes virtual class lectures, in-person field tours, and discussions about specific green storm water issues around southwest Pennsylvania. Students are responsible for their own transportation to site visits.

Candidates who complete this program are prequalified to sit for the Water Environment Federation’s certification exam.  

Program Dates and Times

Classes will be held on the following days from 8:00 a.m. to noon:

  • Week 1: Wednesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 8

  • Week 2: Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15

  • Week 3: Wednesday, October 21, and Thursday, October 22

  • Week 4: Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29

Registration

$500 per person for private sector companies 

$300 per person for public organizations

The $200 fee for the Water Environment Federation exam is additional and is a separate registration.
